Things to do...
There is plenty of fun to be had right here at TPL, but if you wanted to venture out and see some of the surrounding area, there is lots to do in Central Maine. Within walking distance of the campground we have Thurston Park for some easy hiking, just a 20 minute drive away you can visit downtown Waterville. If you are staying for longer than just a day or two, you may want to venture further and visit some of the villages in the region, drive over to the coast, or do some antique shopping.
Waterville, Head of the Falls Park and the Two Cent Bridge
If you are headed into downtown Waterville, our favorite way to get there is to park across the river in Winslow. There is a small park next to the Winslow Town Office where you can leave your car. Take the short walk around the park, down to the railroad tracks and then cross the river via the Two Cent pedestrian bridge.
